I’ve printed some squares of fabric, or ‘fat quarters’ as they’re known in the trade.

They’re the sort of thing people can use for their own craft projects. Quilting, a cushion cover - whatever takes your fancy really.

If you couldn’t get enough of my hand in the last post, here it is again for your delectation.

Here’s some ladybirds. I’ve popped a bit of lavender into the centre to give them a little aroma.

The funny claw like thing holding onto one of the ladybirds is my withered hand.

This is my new cushion cover. It’s the same design as my recent wall hangings. Not that I was being lazy or anything - I just thought it’d make a good cushion cover.

I took the photos in the garden. Yes, I know they are a little bit weird. What can I say, I simply lack photography skills.

So, I thought that I’d better get in on the old lavender bag malarky while the going’s good.

It’s a win, win situation really. Our house smells good, we’re sleeping well and the pesky clothes moths can’t stand the stuff.

Last Sunday I taught a fabric printing workshop as part of the We Make London summer pop up boutique.

I was lucky enough to work with some very talented women, who produced some fantastic work despite mostly never having printed before.

Here’s some of the work they produced. Please excuse the dodgy photos. I took them with my new phone. I need to find a teenager to come give me some lessons on how to use it properly.

This weekend the We Make London summer boutique opens up for your delectation. It’s only on for 1 week so make sure you set aside a bit of time to pop in and have a look.
I’ll be playing shopkeeper on Thursday morning - I haven’t done that since I spent an never ending Christmas holiday wrapping perfume. Come and say hello, I’m quite friendly.

Good gracious! My cushion covers are featured in the July issue of this new, glossy magazine.

‘Where have you been?’ I hear you ask. Well, I can’t say that I’m that sure about that myself; a rainy camping holiday, workshopping with teenagers - you get the drift.

I have been printing of course. Some wall hangings this time. I hadn’t seen any about so I thought I’d get in there before the rush…

You might remember my ‘Endangered Species’ print. Well, now it’s available to buy in the Printclub shop on Brick Lane or online. That’s good isn’t it?
